Who is  Di Cline?  I am a mom, a sister, a friend and a creative portrait photographer from Harford County, Maryland.  My areas of concentration are family, newborn, and baby portraiture.  I have loved babies all my life, just ask my mother.

My photography style is seasoned blend of up close and personal with a natural, real life feel. While I love using studio lighting for creative effects, I prefer to work with the sun as our light source for portraits, especially when it comes to photographing newborn babies.

Preserving the natural beauty and purity of a newly born baby’s delicate features, the innocence and vulnerability of child's smile, and the genuine love a family shares, is always my aim.

When I am not behind my lens, I am wife to Richard, the most loving, encouraging, and supportive husband in the world.  I’m also mom to Sophia and a bonus mom to Liz, Emily, and Angie. Oh, and I am the human mama to our hilarious rescue dogs; Brody and Gemma.   My husband, daughters, and pups have contributed greatly to an epiphany I experienced a decade ago... that is; the time we spend with family or loved ones is not really time spent, it’s time invested.  The time we genuinely invest creates precious lifelong memories.

In those moments of reflection, to the time when our children were completely dependent on us, well…these times for me, are incredibly precious and oh so memorable.  I only wish my 'brain camera' could be transferred to canvas so I could permanently memorialize those incredible life gifts.

Because I am a mom, I fully comprehend the importance of capturing as many 'once in a lifetime' moments as possible and because photographic images lock in the milestones of time, I would be delighted to help preserve the magical moments you always want to remember.

The art of photography is so much more than printing a picture, fitting it into a frame and hanging it on your wall or posting it online.

For me, a wickedly amazing photograph is one that sparks a myriad of emotions.  Creating an image that touches your heart, moves you to tears, inspires you to take action, or burns itself into your memory... is the purpose of every shutter click.

Thank you for reading a little bit about me.

I'd love to get to know you and your family.
